Youth Recreational Scholarships

Did you know studies prove participation in recreation programs not only helps keep kids active while improving motor skills, it also improves self-awareness, goal setting and conflict resolutions skills, and helps participants learn to make better choices?

Each year, the Loveland Parks and Recreation Foundation receives
more than 200 requests for scholarship assistance so that low-income or at-risk youth right here in Loveland can participate in recreational programming.

Our goal is to accommodate all scholarship requests (based on income requirements) so that every child has the opportunity to participate in recreation activities, regardless of family financial barriers.

Our hope is that we can help minimize the barriers these youth experience due to family financial constraints.  Participation in recreational programming can offer participants a temporary release from their problems and a chance to learn teamwork while also developing self-confidence and other skills that prove critical as they transition into adulthood.

Recreation activities can range from swimming, basketball, soccer and flag football to dance, arts & crafts and gymnastics classes.
